Team Mopar’s Beauchamp Scores Fourth-Place Finish at Riverside Speedway

By Auto News Log • September 20th, 2010

Ron Beauchamp and the No. 60 Mopar Parts/Mobil 1/Exide Batteries Dodge team continued their run of strong finishes at Round 12 of the 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season at Riverside Speedway near Antigonish, N.S., Canada, on Saturday, Sept. 20. After three consecutive top-ten finishes, Beauchamp narrowly missed out on a podium result and claimed a fourth-place finish.

Beauchamp showed well during practice, but was not quite as successful in qualifying. He began the 300-lap feature event from the tenth starting spot, and after adjustments during a caution began to move forward in the field. Following the final pit stop of the afternoon for tires and adjustments, Beauchamp was up near the front of the field and able to challenge for a podium spot, ultimately settling for fourth.

“After the last stop I had the race car I wanted,” said Beauchamp. “I was able to really battle with the leaders. There was a different car on the podium on just about every lap as we got near the end.”

Beauchamp is seventh in the overall championship standings. He and the No. 60 Mopar Parts/Mobil 1/Exide Batteries Dodge Team conclude the 2010 season of competition on Sept. 25 at Kawartha Speedway near Peterborough, Ont.
