Just 11 months after opening on Jan. 31, 2009, the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany welcomed its 500,000th visitor.

“Reaching this magic figure before Christmas in our very first year is really a wonderful gift for the season,” said Achim Stejskal, the head of the Porsche Museum.

The jubilee visitors from Stuttgart received a great surprise on the occasion: Porsche is providing the Rosenberger family with the latest Porsche, a four-door Panamera, for an entire weekend.

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the last Monday of this year, Dec. 28, the museum will also be open for an exclusive visit. The current “Panamera Moment” special exhibition continues until Feb. 28, 2010.
