Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Gets New Colors for Chicagoland

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – It took crewmen at Stewart-Haas Racing six hours to wrap the team’s No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Impala in a back-to-school paint scheme that will run during this weekend’s 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill.

The scheme sports all the supplies one’s child needs to be ready to “Go Back Smarter” for the coming school year. An overflowing backpack adorns the hood, with pens, pencils, markers, crayons and a SanDisk flash/jump drive spilling out the top. Elmer’s glue, rulers, erasers, scissors, stapler, calculator – even a Toshiba laptop – fill out the rest of the car, for in addition to SanDisk, Elmer’s and Toshiba, Office Depot vendors Mead, Sanford and PaperPro are also featured on the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice “Back-to-School” Chevy.

Stewart used many of these supplies during his time at Columbus (Ind.) North High School (Class of 1989), while his crew chief, Darian Grubb, spent a considerable amount of time on his laptop while wearing out his calculator and rulers as he attended Virginia Tech, where in 1998 he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Of course, all of the supplies featured on the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice “Back-to-School” Chevrolet Impala can be found at Office Depot.
