Roswell, Ga – Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), celebrating 25 years as a leading global provider of office supplies and services, and the Office Depot Foundation today announced that Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™, will headline a special store grand opening and “Back-To-School Celebration” event at the newly remodeled Office Depot store at 1580 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, Ga. The event will take place at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Wed, August 31.

Stewart will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony during the grand opening event and help the Office Depot Foundation donate 4,800 new sackpacks to schools and non-profit organizations that work with children in need in the Roswell area.

“I’m honored to join Office Depot and the Office Depot Foundation for this great event in Roswell,” said Stewart, who will compete at nearby Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. “Office Depot is focused on Taking Care of Business for its customers every day, and the updated features and more convenient set-up in the store will help customers feel right at home. I’m also very proud to work with the Office Depot Foundation and make sure kids in need have the tools they need to succeed in school. It’s extremely rewarding to see a child’s face light up when they receive a brand-new sackpack.”

Stewart is partnering with the Office Depot Foundation for the third consecutive year to support the Foundation’s National Backpack Program, helping to donate 350,000 sackpacks throughout the 2011 back-to-school season – the most sackpacks given out in a single year since the program started in 2001.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony and “Back-To-School Celebration” conclude, Stewart will hold an autograph session for 400 fans beginning at 4:30 p.m. local time at the store. Wristbands will be required for an autograph and will be available at the store beginning at 8 a.m. on the event day. A replica of Stewart’s No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 show car will be on display in the store’s parking lot, along with racing simulators for fans to enjoy.
