NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart & Office Depot Deliver ‘Technology Makeover’ To Local Charlotte School

Local School Receives New Lenovo Laptop Computers, Lexmark All-In-One Printers And More; Donation Highlights Office Depot’s New Technology And Print Services Debuting In Charlotte-Area Stores

Boca Raton, Fla – The students and teachers at Collinswood Language Academy in Charlotte, N.C., received a very speedy delivery today!

Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), celebrating 25 years as a leading global provider of office supplies and services, partnered with NASCAR® star Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™, to deliver a “Technology Makeover, Courtesy of Office Depot’s Tech Depot Services” to Collinswood Language Academy.

Stewart made the delivery in person, arriving at the school behind the wheel of his No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 Chevy.

“I’m so excited to help Office Depot give the deserving teachers and students at Collinswood Language Academy a technology makeover,” Stewart said. “I’ve always believed that education is the foundation to success – no matter what career path you choose – and it’s important for teachers and students to have the tools they need to succeed, especially when it comes to technology.”

Collinswood Language Academy received 10 Lenovo ThinkPad Edge laptop computers, three All-In-One printers from Lexmark and support from the experts from Office Depot’s Tech Depot Services available at all of the retailer’s Charlotte-area stores. The Lenovo laptops are equipped with Webcam technology, providing the dual-language school with an interactive means to interview potential staff via Skype through the Visiting International Faculty Program (VIF). Collinswood Language Academy currently has eight teachers working at the school through VIF.

New Services and Experts Now at Office Depot Stores

This special school event is part of the launch of the enhanced Office Depot technology and copy & print services in its Charlotte-area stores, including the addition of Certified Tech Specialists who can guide customers through their technology purchase, help customers set up a new computer and network, provide ongoing PC support and even fix computers by the next day – guaranteed*.

Plus, Office Depot has in-store experts to help customers with their Copy and Print needs in Charlotte. In fact, dedicated Xerox-certified print specialists are at each store location to help customers create standout presentations, flyers and signs; customize business cards and stationery; design company logos, and help with mailing and shipping services from the U.S. Postal Service and UPS, seven days a week.

Collinswood Language Academy is a K-6 Magnet school with a diverse student body comprising 582 enrolled students. It operates a dual-language program in Spanish and English.
