Infiniti Essence concept coming to 2010 Montreal and Toronto auto shows

By Auto News Log • December 1st, 2009

To help Infiniti celebrate its 20-year history as a manufacturer of performance cars and as inspiration for the brand’s future, the Essence concept will make its Canadian debut at the 2010 Montreal Auto Show in January. It will then make one more stop at the 2010 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto in February.

Car enthusiasts will embrace the Essence, a 592-horsepower, rear-wheel-drive gasoline/electric hybrid coupe.

The Essence was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and showcases many of the technologies, including a new Infiniti hybrid system, and design cues that will distinguish Infiniti production cars of the future.

• Front-engine, two-seat, 592-hp, rear-wheel-drive luxury coupe concept measuring 4,720 millimetres long

• Powered by a gasoline/electric hybrid drivetrain — capable of high speeds where conditions allow, zero emissions where they don’t

• Fresh design language to influence future production models

• New safety technology, including Backup Collision Prevention

• Custom designed Louis Vuitton fitted luggage to travel in style
