Green Ferrari Star Shines In Geneva

By Auto News Log • March 3rd, 2010

Maranello – The first guests at the Ferrari stand in Geneva were astonished that next to a red 458 Italia, an elegant Grigio Ingrid livery of the Ferrari California, the 599 HGTE’s Rosso Fuoco and the Grigio Ferro Met of the 612 Scaglietti, there was also a Ferrari Verde. The lab car immediately became the start of the Car Show here in Switzerland, not only because of its colour, but mainly because of the originality of its solutions.

The Ferrari Verde aroused the Financial Times’ interest and the financial newspaper’s title on the website was “Ferrari presenting its first hybrid”. Today the Ferrari was on the prestigious newspaper’s first page, while the Daily Telegraph came out with a photo of the Ferrari Verde. “Ferrari – the fruit is green”, was the French sports daily’s L’Equipe title. “Ferrari is turning green, the hybrid bet” – title in the Corriere della Sera and “Green future ” on the Il Sole 24 Ore with the HY-KERS lab car on the front page. The car is also a protagonist in today’s New York Times, where the “Ferrari HY-KERS Hybrid Concept” is analysed in its details.

Ferrari was not only mentioned in the most important newspapers in the world, but also in the news. Something else already presented today generated great interest: the introduction of the Stop & Start system in the Ferrari California, a world premiere for high-performance supercars.
