Ferrari In Action In Japan

By Auto News Log • May 27th, 2010

Maranello – On the 29 and 30 May, the remarkable participants in the non-competitive programmes run by the Corse Clienti Department in Maranello, will take part in the Ferrari Festival of Japan, which this year, is being staged for the seventh time. In 2009, over six hundred Ferrari cars took part in the traditional event organised by Ferrari Japan, exceeding the record of 499 cars, set the previous year which was good enough to make it into the Guinness Book of Records.

The event takes place at the famous circuit in the shadow of Mount Fuji, where taking part in some untimed sessions will be two historic single-seaters run by the F1 Clienti department, four 599XX and seven FXX, taking to the track in the hand of their owner-test drivers. Also on show will be the entire range of Maranello cars, with two notable premieres for the Japanese market: the 590 GTO, the most high performance car ever built by the Maranello marque and the 458 Italia, a two seater coupe, fitted with a central-rear mounted V8 engine, which just a few months after its launch has already been widely acclaimed and met with great success with the general public.
