Ferrari’s Race Season US-Debut

Maranello – On the occasion of the opening stage of the North American Ferrari Challenge Championship, held on Florida’s Homestead circuit, numerous Ferraris from the non-competitive programmes managed but Maranello’s Corse Clienti department went onto the track for several free practice session. Next to seven Ferrari 599XX, the non-homologated supercar Berlinetta for exclusive use on the trace track during her debut here in the USA, four FXX and two single-seaters, a F2004 ex-Schumacher and a 412 T1 ex-Berger, could be admired on the track.

The North American series of the famous single-marque’s Championship is held for the 17th time this year. At the end of the first race the first and the third place went to F430s started by the local “The Collection” dealership with Enzo Potolicchio and Mike Zoi behind the wheel, while Ted Skokos (Boardwalk Ferrari) crossed the line second. The second race was won by Scott Tucker (Boardwalk Ferrari) ahead of Potolicchio and Zoi.

The North American series will be back on the track at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, on the weekend of 11 April: on the same occasion exceptional 599XXs, FXXs and Formula 1 single-seaters from the Maranello Corse Clienti department will go onto the track next to the F430, taking part in the intense motorsport programme.
