Double Duty at Charlotte for Jeg Coughlin Jr. in Pro Stock & Mopar Challenger Drag Pak

Jeg Coughlin Jr., driver of the Mopar/ Dodge Avenger, will pull double duty in the Third Annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, N.C., April 13–15., competing in both Pro Stock and in his Mopar Challenger Drag Pak in the Stock Eliminator class. In the NHRA’s first visit to Charlotte in 2008, the native of Delaware, Ohio, was the No. 2 qualifier and advanced to the semifinals, while he was the No. 1 Qualifier in the inaugural NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in 2010.

“I was at the event last year and studied the new Christmas tree layout and I’m looking forward to working with it first-hand this year,” said Coughlin. “Our Mopar/ Dodge Avenger is starting to find its stride on the track and our confidence is ramping up quickly. JNR Racing Engines has also completed a makeover on two of our HEMI powerplants and we are stoked with the increased power. Couple all of those elements together with this one of a kind Four-Wide format and you have a recipe for true excitement.”

Coughlin competed in his Mopar Challenger Drag Pak last month during the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., qualifying 11th in a field of 73 entries amd advancing to the fourth round of eliminations. Jeff Taylor was victorious in Coughlin’s Mopar Challenger Drag Pak earlier this season.

“I am really looking forward to hitting the quarter-mile strip in my Mopar Challenger Drag Pak car,” stated Coughlin, a native of Delaware, Ohio. “Our winter efforts have shown the car is extremely consistent and we can challenge for round and race wins.”
