“I’ll be completely honest with you, ever since I laid eyes on Bristol Motor Speedway I’ve been in love with the place. I went there as a fan and watched races, but the first time I went there as a driver and walked down the track into the garage area, it was surreal. The first time I raced there, I think it took me about five laps, but we went to the top of the board. I felt like I got it right away. There aren’t many race tracks that I can say that about. The cars are changing, the track is changing, and drivers continue to get better, but I feel that Chad (Walter, crew chief) and I have been able to evolve there and run well. And it’s a great place to have that feeling for.”

“The success of Dodge in the Nationwide Series is a breath of fresh air for several reasons. It means a lot to the sport to have all of the manufacturers running competitively. I believe that Dodge is getting as much out of their motorsports program as they have since they came back in. I feel proud to be a part of that, especially since my family has enjoyed a long relationship with the Dodge brand. To be in position to give them their first Nationwide Series championship is very cool. It’s easy to forget that this No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge team is still in its first year together.”
