Cleantech Meeting Set At EnerDel

Officials with the U.S. Department of Energy will meet with representatives from Indianapolis-based lithium-ion battery maker EnerDel and partners of the Energy Systems Network this morning. They will discuss a $118 million grant for EnerDel’s expansion plans and Project Plug-IN, which involves a large scale demonstration of hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles in the Indianapolis area.

Department of Energy Senior Advisor Gil Sperling will lead the federal delegation in meetings with EnerDel President Rick Stanley, Energy Systems Network Chief Executive Officer Rick Stanley and other executives from Indiana automotive/clean technology firms.

The discussions will take place at EnerDel’s Indianapolis operations.
