1977 Porsche 928

The 928 would have been the finest car ever produced by Porsche if only it had been a 911. In a radical departure from established practice, Porsche unveiled this front engined V8 at the Geneva Motor Show in 1977. It was greeted with disbelief and the public just did not get it. Equally at home on the highway or a winding road the 928 was exhilarating. The bad news, the 928 was discontinued in 1995.

Engine: Front-mounted V8
