Mecum Auctions 2012 Spring Classic Spotlight: 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Super Cobra Jet Fastback (Lot F320.1)

Fresh from an expert rotisserie restoration, this 1969 Ford Mustang mach 1 is an exceptionally rare R-code model equipped with the W-code Drag Pack 4.30 Traction Loc rear end, the choice of which upgraded the 428 CI Cobra Jet engine to the famous 428 CI Super Cobra Jet Ram Air V-8, external oil cooler and Shaker hood scoop. Its spectacular Candy Apple Red paint is matched by the Dark Red Clarion knit interior, which offers tinted glass, a Sport Deck rear seat and factory Philco pushbutton AM radio. Finished with chromed styled steel wheels wearing Goodyear Polyglas rubber, this impressive Mach 1 is accompanied by an Elite Marti report.
