Mecum Auctions 2012 Spring Classic Spotlight: 1970 Ford Mustang 351 CI, 4-Speed (Lot S288)

This very rare unrestored 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 has been in the care of the same owner for over 36 years. Finished in its original Bright Gold Metallic with a Ginger Corinthian woven vinyl interior, it retains the original matching numbers 351 CI Cleveland engine, close ratio 4-speed transmission with 3.50 Traction-Lok differential, the original factory Shaker hood, rear deck lid spoiler, Black stripes and factory tachometer and dealer installed Sport slats. Documentation includes the original build tags, Marti Report and Ford letter of confirmation.

Mecum Auctions will celebrate its Silver anniversary at Dana Mecum’s 25th Original Spring Classic Auction. More than 2,100 vehicles will cross the auction block May 15-20, 2012, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind.

Dana Mecum’s 25th Original Spring Classic Auction is open to the general public with tickets available at the gate for only $15. Gates open daily at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.
