Mecum Auctions 2012 Spring Classic Spotlight: 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback (Lot S151)

A small cadre of experienced collectors have served as stewards for this unrestored 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302, which now shows a believed-original 27,195 miles. Sold new at Latta Ford in Selmer, Tennessee, it was then purchased by its current owner in 1989; since then its ownership has included Cleveland, Georgia Ford dealer Jacky Jones. Powered by its original 302/290 HP engine, 4-speed and 3.50 Traction Lok rear end, it is extensively equipped with a Shaker hood, rear spoiler, sport slats, console, tinted glass, tach, smog equipment and rev limiter. The car also retains its original Yellow paint and White-on-Black interior, the original wheels, trim rings and hub caps with Goodyear F60 15 Polyglas tires, spare tire and inflation kit. This rare and desirable Boss 302 comes complete with a detailed Marti Report.
