With Help From NASCAR® Star Greg Biffle, Small Business Owner From Cedar Brook, N.J., Wins Annual Sweepstakes

Boca Raton, Fla – It was a photo-worthy finish for one small business owner today at Dover International Speedway!

Office Depot® (NYSE: ODP), the Official Office Products Partner of NASCAR®, in partnership with 3M®, a fellow Official NASCAR Partner, is pleased to announce that Mike Pagano, owner of PaganoPhoto – Photos by Mike Pagano in Cedar Brook, N.J., has been named the winner of the sixth annual “Official Small Business of NASCAR®, Courtesy of Office Depot” sweepstakes. Pagano was one of two finalists in the national promotion.

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford, featured Pagano’s small business logo on his race car during this afternoon’s nationally televised NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ AAA 400 race at Dover International Speedway, while fellow driver Tony Stewart featured the small business logo of sweepstakes finalist Rose Berger, owner of Professional Cleaning Service in Greer, S.C., on his No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevy.

As the owner of the small business featured on the highest-finishing driver’s car at the end the race, Pagano’s PaganoPhoto – Photos by Mike Pagano was crowned the 2010 “Official Small Business of NASCAR, Courtesy of Office Depot.” Biffle finished the race in 19th position, while Stewart came home 21st.

“This entire week with Office Depot has been amazing and winning the ‘Official Small Business of NASCAR®, Courtesy of Office Depot’ title is just icing on the cake,” Pagano said after the race. “I really want to thank everyone at Office Depot and 3M, as well as Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle, for this great opportunity. I know Greg and his team really wanted to take care of business and win the $1 million for me, and their efforts meant a lot. This has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a real honor for my small business.”

Pagano and Berger were introduced as the sweepstakes finalists on Sept. 22 during a special segment on SPEED’s “NASCAR Race Hub” program. Berger, 52, was randomly paired with Stewart, while Pagano, 46, was matched with Biffle.

Both finalists received a $10,000 small business makeover from Office Depot and a VIP experience at Dover International Speedway. If Stewart or Biffle had won today’s race, the small business featured on the winning car would have taken home $1 million. As the sweepstakes winner, Pagano will receive the use of the “Official Small Business of NASCAR®, Courtesy of Office Depot®” logo for one year.

“I’m really happy that I was able to help Mike (Pagano) claim the ‘Official Small Business of NASCAR®, Courtesy of NASCAR’ title today,” Biffle said. “As a small business owner myself, I wanted to do a great job for Mike. I’m a little disappointed that I couldn’t help him get the big $1 million prize, but I know he’ll put the $10,000 small business makeover from Office Depot to great use.”

About The Winner:

Mike Pagano, Owner of PaganoPhoto – Photos by Mike Pagano

For Mike Pagano, being the 2010 “Official Small Business of NASCAR, Courtesy of Office Depot” sweepstakes winner is a great opportunity to prepare his small business for the future. The father of two has nurtured his passion for photography on evenings and weekends while also working full-time as a Supervising Environmental Specialist in the State of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection for the past 23 years. He launched PaganoPhoto as an official business venture in 2009 and plans to make it a full-time endeavor when he retires. Currently, he’s the sole PaganoPhoto employee, but makes it clear that his business wouldn’t work without the frequent help provided by his wife, Gayle, and children, Phillip and Sarah.

Pagano decided to enter the “Official Small Business of NASCAR, Courtesy of Office Depot” sweepstakes after hearing Greg Biffle talk about it during an interview on a local radio station earlier this summer. And appropriately enough, PaganoPhoto was randomly selected for placement on Biffle’s car, who ended up finishing higher than Stewart during the race yesterday.
